We changed some of our reporting units to match international standards and guidelines

ETS completed the conversion of our reporting units to comply with the strong recommendations of the Wine Institute Technical Committee effective Monday, 18 January 2010.

What changed:

The following table shows the analytes that were affected, the old units previously used, and the new units:

Why?

The United States wine industry is competing in an increasingly global environment where reduction of technical barriers to trade is an important consideration. One existing technical barrier is the lack of a common language for the expression of wine analytical results. The Wine Institute Technical Committee has adopted consensus units and recommends their adoption by the U.S. industry.
